Mayweather won via Unanimous Decision over Mosley

Last Saturday night Floyd Mayweather was able to overcome Shane Mosley in a 12-round decision despite almost being knocked down in the second round. Witnessed by many stars including the legendary Muhammad Ali, Mayweather never dropped Mosley, but by the middle rounds it was clear to see he would win based on the sheer number of punches landed.

Despite Mosley’s attempt to trip him up, he had an answer to everything, landing rights to the head at will. Two of the judges at the ring scored it 119-109 white the third scored it 118-110.

All judges showed him winning every round from the third on. Mosley really looked his age as Mayweather landed numerous sharp punches to the head showing complete dominance. Read the rest of this entry »

Philippine Bar Exam Results 2009 Philippine Bar examinations

Do you want to know who are the 2009 Philippine Bar Exam Top Notchers? A total of 1,451 out of the 5,903 examinees from 108 law schools nationwide passed the 2009 Philippine Bar examinations.

Associate Justice Antonio Eduardo B. Nachura, chair of the 2009 Committee on Bar Examinations, disclosed that the number of those who passed represented 24.58 percent of the total examinees.

Nachura said the passing rate was lowered from 75 percent to 71 percent, while the disqualification grade in Taxation has been lowered from 49 percent to 45 percent.

The 2009 Philippines Bar exams marked the first time that not one but two examiners were designated as examiners in each of the eight Bar examination subjects.

Thus, every Bar subject were divided into two parts, with each designated examiner assigned a specific scope.

The examiners were Atty. Sixto S. Brillantes Jr. and Atty. Jeremy I. Gatdula for Political and International Law; Court of Appeals (CA) Justice Vicente S.E. Veloso and Atty. Pablo R. Cruz for Labor and Social Legislation;

Justice Alicia V. Sempio-Diy (ret.) and Court Administrator Zenaida N. Elepaño (ret.) for Civil Law; Court of Tax Appeals Presiding Justice Ernesto D. Acosta and Atty. Edwin R. Abella (Taxation); CA Justice Ramon Paul L. Hernando and Atty. Hector Danny D. Uy (Mercantile Law);

Sandiganbayan Justice Edilberto G. Sandoval and CA Justice Mario V. Lopez (Criminal Law); Sandiganbayan Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo and CA Justice Magdangal M. De Leon (Remedial Law); and Sandiganbayan Justice Samuel R. Martires and CA Justice Noel G. Tijam (Legal Ethics and Practical Exercises).

In February 2009, the SC, upon the recommendation of the Committee on Legal Education and Bar Matters, decided to implement the two-examiners per subject policy.

The Bar exams are traditionally held in four consecutive Sundays of September but the High Court had to reset to Oct. 4, 2009 the last exam week due to the widespread flooding brought about by Typhoon Ondoy.

Crocs Footwear Philippines distributor sees higher sales this year

Importer and distributor of the world-renowned footwear brand Crocs in the Philippines said sales are expected to grow this year despite fake dealers.

“We expect tremendous sale for Crocs this year,” Franco Limjuco, vice president of All Condition Gear Philippines Inc. (ACGPI) told reporters at the sidelines of the launching of Crocband collection. At present, Crocs Footwear Philippines has a total of 26 stores nationwide.

“This year we are already looking at two locations, Bacolod and Tarlac, both SM malls,” Limjuco said. Of the 26 stores nationwide, Limjuco said TriNoma Mall was the highest selling stores, with an average sales per day of 60 pairs to 100 pairs.

“Crocs is really stepping up its game this year and I hope that people will continue to suport exciting new products from Crocs. The Crocband Collection launch is only the beginning for Crocs and there are many more to come in the next months,” Limjuco said.

Colorado-based Crocs Inc., is a designer, manufacturer and retailer of footwear for men, women and children under the crocs brand.

Silicon Valley firm eyes Filipino technopreneurs

Silicon Valley firm Plug and Play Tech Center is sponsoring a pitch competition for budding Filipino technopreneurs, whose business ideas deserve attention from venture capitalists looking for people who can handle the rough-and-tumble crucible of the Information Technology (IT) world.

The goal is to “bridge the top Filipino technopreneurs to Silicon Valley,” said Jojo Flores, Plug and Play’s Co-Founder and VP for Operations.

“We also felt that enabling the success of international Filipino-owned companies complements the country’s objectives of building and strengthening its BPO and IT industries,” Flores said.

Since 2006, entrepreneurship-centered Plug and Play has served startup tech companies by providing them the resources necessary to accelerate their growth: from office space, data and telecommunications services, networking events, recruiting services, and perhaps most importantly, a network of fellow startups and potential investors.

No Pacquiao Versus Mayweather Fight

The message is clear, Mayweather cant fight Manny Pacquiao for obvious reasons.

Theres a lot of speculations that he doesnt really want to fight with Pacquiao again for obvious reasons LOL.

Mayweather has the right to refuse, he also wants to protect his tittle and reputation since we all know that Pacquiao can beat him. Agree?
